Hi there, I'm Kayla.
I’m the Owner and Designer behind Citrus Velvet Interiors. As a former communications coordinator, I’ve always believed that every home deserves to feel as unique as the people who live in it.
My background has shaped the way I see design — I bring both a strategic mind and a creative eye to every project, which means you get spaces that are not just beautiful, but genuinely well thought-out.
What started as a personal obsession with interiors turned into an unstoppable passion. And now I get to do this every day — helping families create homes they truly love.
A little about me

I love anything lemon flavored. Lemon bars are absolute pure bliss for me. I’m not ashamed (even though I probably should be) to say that this is where “Citrus” came from.

An ex-surfer (very un-New England like), but current avid snowboarder (very New England like). Currently teaching my children (4 and 2)!

My favorite countries in the entire world are England and New Zealand! If you go to London, check out the Churchill Arms. If you get the chance to go to New Zealand, try and swim with the dolphins in Kaikoura!

I’m a color fanatic! Not afraid of color and you shouldn’t be either. Sure every color has its pros and cons, but it’s fascinating how it can alter our moods and wellbeing!
